Update from LPDV 15 Feb.2009

Dear MIM guys,
Here is a picture update of how the K-P building is progressing. Omar, Julio, and Ricardo say "hola."
I’ll probably send another update in a couple weeks showing the roof mostly in place.
Here is some other good news:
1- The first week of the 2009 school year is now history. We are fully staffed except for a science teacher in the elementary school.
2- We have an enrollment of over 350 students!!! This is above projection and means that the school will be
within its budget again for this school year.
3- The first lab test came back: the well water is 100% potable! (See picture of it gushing into the tank on the top of the hill.
No leaks on the way up, of course!)
4- I am very much enjoying teaching the senior Bible class. It does come with a greater sense of responsibility
(it bothers me a little if they don’t like my science classes, but I really want them to enjoy the study of God’s word.)
Ninth grade biology is getting a good start as well. Thanks for the books, Wes, and for covering them, Colorado team.
5-Having Josh Meyer here to teach 7th, 8th, and 10th grade science in English is a huge help.
I would be out-of-my-mind busy if I still had all of that on my plate .
THANK YOU for coming down to help the LPDV ministry, for your fellowship,
and for your continued prayers that God would use this place for his purposes
in the lives of our students and their families.
In Christ,
Matt Befus
